Mido Ocean Star 200C Titanium Black Ref. M042.430.44.051.00 |
The latest addition to Mido’s collection is the Mido Ocean Star 200C Titanium. At first glance, the fundamentals do not differ from the other watches in the Ocean Star series. However, Mido has updated the materials and colors for this watch.
Consequently, the all new watch case, which measures a respectable 42.50mm diameter, 12.3mm thick, and 48.5mm lug-to-lug, is now made of titanium. Despite a harder material to work with, Mido nails the craftsmanship with high polished and satin-finished surfaces, just like its stainless steel brethren. However, the watch exudes a darker gray color that lends a tool-ish outlook, and enjoys a considerably reduced weight at just below 130 grams (from about 190 grams in stainless steel). Wearing this new timepiece on the wrist would be much more comfortable as a result.
